Dr. Shelter Anyama is a physician originally from Texas who is dedicated to providing accessible, patient-centered medical care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and completed rotary internships at both Manatí Medical Center in Puerto Rico and Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Anyama currently works as an emergency room physician, treating a wide range of medical conditions and caring for patients with both urgent and complex medical needs. Through this work, he has developed extensive experience in community and rural medicine, providing practical and patient-focused care to diverse populations.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Anyama gained valuable surgical experience while working as a first assistant to a respected orthopedic surgeon in Houston. In this role, he assisted in numerous orthopedic procedures and developed strong skills in the evaluation and management of musculoskeletal injuries.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Anyama also has hands-on caregiving experience, which has helped shape his compassionate and attentive approach to patient care.
